Daughter of Ronnie Rutherford who ran the Strand as a variety theatre and 4 screen cinema, Linda Smyth has been working at the Strand since its opening night as a multiplex in April 1988. Today she is the Operations Manager, overseeing the day to day running of the building.
Linda has over 20 years of experience with bookkeeping, Sage, and Cinema Management. She has a great rapport with community partners and loyal patrons and is passionate about keeping the building a shared creative community space.
